We work with one of the most ignored yet resilient communities in India — physically disabled children. These children are not statistics to us. They are individuals with names, stories, pain, and potential. We currently serve over 2,000 such children across the nation. Our commitment is not built on pity — it is built on the belief that every child, regardless of ability, deserves to live with dignity, care, and opportunity.
Barwa Foundation is not just another organisation. It is a movement grounded in service, run by people who have seen what it means to be excluded and have chosen to build a bridge back into society. For every child we serve, we try to restore not just physical aid — but lost trust, forgotten worth, and hope that life still holds space for them.
Here’s how we serve, every single day:
- We go beyond a check-up. We follow up. We help secure local rehab or long-term care when possible.
- Disability often requires specialised nutrition. Our food kits are designed with care, not in bulk.
- Our volunteer mentors are trained to stay in touch with families regularly, helping them navigate government processes and access services.
- While we serve across India, each child is cared for personally — like the only one who matters.
Every week, our teams enter communities where disability is still seen as a curse. Families hide children indoors, not because they don’t love them — but because they don’t know what to do. There are no government schemes reaching them. No wheelchairs. No therapists. No one asking how they are. Until Barwa shows up.
We do not arrive with banners or speeches. We arrive with food packets that consider their dietary limitations. We arrive with medical kits, volunteer physiotherapists, and disability diagnosis setups. We arrive with time, with listening, and with genuine presence.
